The Kite Festival is all about kids, families and clean, outdoor fun. This event benefits our community in many ways. Kids of all ages fly their own kites, enjoy traveling through the "Time Tunnel," participate in Candy Drops, see "Ollie the Octopus" fly, get pleasure from seeing the vast array of kites flown by pro kite fliers from throughout the region, and have a great time. Adults have just as much fun as the children! Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day. There will be food and drink available.
The Ruidoso Kite Festival is a member of the American Kitefliers Association, the largest association of kite enthusiasts in the world.
